I have always been fascinated with the art of photography. I love that a camera simply captures a moment in our lives that we can forever hold onto. I guess you could say it is a hobby of mine and I would love to get really good at. So I am slowly learning the difference between f-stops, shutter speeds, all white balance, and different light sources. I have a long ways to go before I'll be any good. But some day I would love to know all the ins and outs of setting up and taking that "Perfect Picture". Until then I have lots of practicing to do- so if any of you want to be my model I would love it! I'm sure my kids will thank you. Here are some of my favorites that I have taken lately.

Getting in a Little Practice
Hiking Along the North Ogden Divide

We went hiking and made it up the mountain 1.5 miles. Not bad- the kids loved it. Thanks to Luke he kept the pace pretty tolerable. Melissa and Sam could have hiked the whole mountain, they were hard to keep up with. We saw incredible views of both Ogden and Liberty. Very picturesque!!
Karlee's Missionary Homecoming in Star Valley, WY
Mark's little sister Karlee recently returned home from serving in the Arizona mission. We traveled to Star Valley on June 8th, to attend her homecoming. Lots of family came to show their support. It was so wonderful to hear about Karlee's missionary experiences and to visit with family that we don't get to see that often.

Jan. 2008 Highlights From Our Hawaii Trip
Our trip to Oahu this past Jan. was so much fun.
We played at tbe beach, went hiking, drove all over the island, ate at the hukilau and relaxed in the warm sun.

One of our first nights in Hawaii we stopped at Sunset Beach to watch the sun go down, it was a beautiful night the air was warm, the waves were awesome, and the kids were having a ball playing "don't let the waves catch you".
Ice Cream at Disneyworld
You know how sometimes you will have those moments with your kids when they say or do something so funny and you wish you could go back and push replay. Well this was one of those moments that just so happened to be caught on tape.
